
Jennifer Goewey
Director​​
Jenn currently serves as the Director for the Southern Berkshire Rural Health Network. In addition to this role, she is a consultant focusing on community health and violence prevention related projects. She was previously the Director of Programs for the Elizabeth Freeman Center (EFC). Before EFC, Jenn was the Director of the Town of Sheffield's Council on Aging and Senior Center. A graduate of Bay Path University, she earned a BA with a concentration in Psychology: Human Services and Rehabilitation. Also, she holds a Leadership Certificate in Conflict Resolution from Cornell University and is studying to obtain a Non-Profit Management certificate. When asked why she cares so deeply about our community and people, she shares “I have witnessed and deeply experienced the power of community and connection. The collective strength we have when we come together to do good work inspires and motivates me.” In her free time, Jenn enjoys the simple things in life: family, friends, chasing music, and volunteering.

Jenny Schwartz
Food Access Coordinator
Jenny currently serves as the Food Access Coordinator for the Southern Berkshire Rural Health Network. In addition to this role, she also oversees operations and volunteer opportunities at Berkshire Bounty, located in Great Barrington. A graduate of Syracuse University, she earned a BFA in arts, with a concentration in art therapy. Jenny brings with her a rich background in both food and community, including providing educational cooking experiences for both children and adults in a variety of community settings. When asked why she cares so deeply about food access she shared that “food is a basic need. We all need it to survive, and everyone should have access to healthy foods.” Her work in the community has a strong emphasis on local and seasonal food, inclusion, equity, and connection! In her free time, Jenny enjoys hiking, finding tranquil bodies of water and of course, cooking.
